It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted any updates. There have been several minor changes to the site since 2.0 has gone live.

Here is a summary of the most recent major changes.

• Moderation System – Want to be a moderator? Contact us and let us know why you feel you would like to become a UPC Food Search moderator.
• Facebook Connect – You now have the option to login with your facebook account.
• Separated Brand Information from Manufacturer Names – We felt this needed to be separate from the manufacturer’s name, since many manufacturers have brands across several different UPC codes.
• Multiple Manufacturer/Brand Websites – You can now list several websites for a manufacturer and it’s brands.

We have several other features being developed. We will announce them as they are completed.

UPC Food Search 2.0 is now live, with a new design, new user interface and several new features. Here are a list of the new features and features in development.

Our last update went with out a hitch, well it almost did. There were a few bugs found initially after the update was rolled out and all the issues found have been fixed.

As for this new update, it’s not much of an update. I just wanted everyone to be aware of our new feedback forum. Our new feedback forum allows you to make suggestions, feature requests or anything else that comes to mind that will help UPC Food Search. Each user also gets ten votes to vote for topics they like the most. You can vote on any topic created. Below is a list of the current top three topics.

Happy New Year and welcome to UPC Food Search’s ninth update, or well it really should be update #102 (well I certainly lost count at some point). This update is very much our biggest update to date and the first update to be posted on our new shiny blog. We decided to re-structure many areas of the site and add some new features. I won’t bore you with any technical details so on to the list of new updates.
