History
Evaporated cane juice's history is almost the same as regular refined sugar. The domestication of sugar cane is ancient, originating in New Guinea about 10,000 years ago. It was only in the last few centuries that sugar was refined. Therefore evaporated cane juice has existed longher than that of refined sugar.
